70 MOSSADEGH BACKERS SEIZED

UPI — October 29, 1957 TEHERAN, IRAN, Oct. 29 (UP)—Iran announced today that she had arrested seventy followers of onetime Premier Mohammed Mossadegh on charges of subversion. Premier Manoucher Eghbal told Parliament that the arrests had been made in Tehran and Mezhed. All the accused, he said, were “inspired by a foreign power” and were followers of Dr. Mossadegh, the ultra-nationalist Premier who was ousted and jailed in 1953.
