Sometimes You Feel Like A Nut

SHAH IS THE U.S. PUPPET — DOWN WITH THE SHAH

Supported a nut

I would like to know what the United States was thinking of when it supported a maniac like the shah.

According to Amnesty International, the shah had one of the worst human rights records. He murdered thousands of Iranians. He attempted to westernize the country and take away its Islamic heritage. [Not at all, the Shah was Muslim] Can you imagine the uproar in this country if Carter tried to make Moslums [sic] out of us?

The shah himself said in a Barbara Walters interview that criticism of his regime was not permitted and in some cases was punishable by death. I abhor the ayatollah’s terroristic tactics, but I do feel that Iran is justified in wanting to try the shah.

I think we should definitely get that “nut” out of this country and Carter should apologize to the world for the United States having supported him. Maybe then the lives of the American hostages would be saved.
